The 2021 Kia Sorento has a new look!
The all-new 2021 Kia Sorento comes with a standard 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine. There is also a 281-hp turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder engine available. They both have an 8-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid model will use a six-speed automatic and features a combination of a turbo 1.6L 4-cylinder engine/44-kW electric motor. This version will only have a front-wheel drive, though.
The new Sorento will offer 5 different trim levels: L, LX, S, EX, and SX. There is more improved legroom and cargo room than in the current Sorento, as well as second-row captain's chairs.
For drivers assistance features it will have Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Occupant Alert. Newly available features will be Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist - Parallel exit, Passenger Safe Exit Assist, and Blind View Monitor.
There will be a more modernized "tiger nose" grille, which is a signature of Kia. On the exterior you will see standard LED headlamps, signature LED forward lighting, and daytime running lights. Choose from 6 different alloy wheel designs, which will change from 17-inch to 20-inch. This is the largest ever for the Sorento.
The new interior is all around very exciting, as it features metal texture inlays or open-pore wood inlays. There is also a leather embossed quilt pattern on optional leather-equipped models.
There is an available 12.3-in full digital meter cluster behind the steering wheel. The touchscreen will come standard at 8-inches, and there is also an available 10.25-inch high-resolution color touchscreen display. This will come with a split-screen functionality as well. A Surround View Monitor utilizes four cameras to provide a 360-degree perspective. This is a great safety features that allows you to see much more than standard rearview monitors.
It is expected to have 8 USB charging ports. A Bose Premium sound system is available with 12 high-performance speakers, as well as a wireless charger.
