The all-new 2022 Kia Sportage has arrived!
On the exterior there is a roof spoiler and chrome molding around side windows/bumpers. The headlights are low beam bulb with projector beam halogen lenses, and there are also LED daytime running lights. It sits on 17" alloy wheels and has intermittent windshield wipers.
Most of the trims will have a 181-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder, but a quicker option will be a 240-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This is only available on the top trim level, the SX Turbo.
On the interior we see upholstery cloth. There are driver and passenger bucket front seats, as well as split-folding rear seats. Listen to music through 6-speakers and control audio through your steering wheel. You can access Apple CarPlay/Android Auto through an 8.0 in. multi-function display screen touch screen.
Kia prides itself on having an upscale appearance with an attractive, well built interior. There is a lot of space for passengers and it also uses quality materials. For your convenience there is a remote control trunk/hatch release, headlight control with dusk sensor, and remote power locks.
For driver assistant features there is a Rear-Camera Display with rear camera parking distance sensors. The Sportage also has a LATCH system, Hill Holder Hill Start Assist Control, Forward Collision Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist System, and more.
The prior optional Nightfall Edition package will be replacing the S trim level. The base LX trim will now be called the Value Edition, which will have features that were previously on fancier trims. This includes dark 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, passive keyless entry and push-button start, and more. All of the EX trims will now come with a panoramic sunroof.
Standard features will include dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, passive entry, and a power-operated liftgate. An added EX Technology package will give drivers adaptive cruise control, leather surfaces, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, upgraded audio system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and more.
